Overview
Guerrilla art is a contemporary world wide street art movement. It includes but is not limited to graffiti and can be constructive or destructive in nature. We of course will focus on the aspects of guerrilla art that mix activism and expression without vandalism. We have permission to add yarn tassel garlands and small crocheted, knitted or woven pieces to the ceiling tiles in the art hallway.
For this assignment you must carefully plan your installation and the time needed to make it happen. Once all of your materials and details are mapped out and garlands are made, you will install your art either during a single class period. To truly be guerrilla art there must be a surprise element to your public art installation so you don't want the public to see it done in stages. It should just show up. Please view the video and gallery below for inspiration and tutorials.

If you want to do a smaller but more detailed installation there are tons of really cool tutorials online for macramé wall hangings, dream catchers and woven flowers that you could look into. I am attaching a tiny sample of what is out there. Please research techniques that are interesting to you and let me know what you find. We might be able to make it work!
