Overview
The ability to create a wide range of values is such an important drawing skill. For this assignment you will practice creating a wide range of values with both pen and pencil. I have included a photo of a blank worksheet and a completed worksheet in the materials section so that you know what you are shooting for. Click on the images to enlarge them.
-To prevent smudging you pencil you can put a clean piece of paper between your hand and your worksheet. This will keep your hand from smearing the graphite that is already on your page. Remember your 6B is your softest (darkest) pencil and your H is the hardest (lightest) pencil.
-Gradually add value with your pen. You cannot erase sharpie so don't go too dark too quickly.
- First I want you to recreate this blank worksheet on a piece of sketch or copy paper.
- You will need to watch the shading video before completing the pencil sections and the 2 pen videos before completing your pen sections.
- Use the provided sharpie pen for the top sections and your provided drawing pencils for the bottom section.
