For this assignment you will be able to create a still life or portrait in this style. You will need to take your own source photos. That means once you choose your subject, you will need to take multiple photos from multiple angles. These photo studies will need to be submitted with your final piece. You can choose whatever media you would like to complete this assignment but keep in mind that you will be expected to demonstrate skill and proper technique in whatever media you choose. Your grading criteria is detailed in the rubric below the instructions at the bottom of this page.

Instructions
- Choose a subject and take photos of your subject from multiple angles.
- Decide how you are going to fragment your object by making a sketch on a piece of copy paper. Make sure that your composition is deliberate and balanced. Think about how many fragments and angles and views you want to include. Submit your sketch so that I can give you a grade and check to make sure that you are on the right track.
- Once your sketch has been approved, map everything out lightly in pencil. Even though everything might be drawn in pieces, each piece should be drawn accurately and should be an identifiable part of your whole.
- After mapping things out in pencil, submit for a progress check and then move on to finishing in your chosen media.
- When you are done, submit your work with a completed rubric.
